I saw Forairan's post on Translators, I don't get it, please help!

Forairan recently posted that MCGamer Translator Applications are now open to help translate "servers and plugins" to different languages. If I know how to speak 2 foreign languages (other than English) do I need to know something "special" to translate plugins? Or is it the same as translating regular English to the different language?

Please help because I would love to apply and help out the MCGamer community!

Edit: Out of curiosity, do you receive any perks? e.g. VIP.... I will most likely apply either way

It would just be translating the messages, not the code. You would have to translate messages such as "30 seconds until Deathmatch!" or "You received x points for killing y!"
