This thread is sort of disorganised at the minute at the time of upload, however I'll edit it to make it more clean
Hello everyone, I have a great suggestion for the community in the form of a new gametype, if you like it then tell me! So lately I've been having this idea in the back of my head, and it's been developing as time goes on, I think it's type to share it with you guys for some feedback, firstly it's a team game, there are 8 teams of 4, which is a 32 player game. Each team spawns in a small hut or cage, inside of the cage is one chest, which has to be shared equally among the team, upon the launch of the game, the floor of the cage opens up and players fall into a pit of water, upon emerging, they find themselves in a strange forest landscape, in the centre is a giant Cornucopia, which I name the Asterisk Corn, there are two corns, one on top of another, sort of like a cylinder, on top of a cylinder, on the lower cylinder, there are stairs to get up, on this lower cylinder, we have four normal tier 1 chests, then on the very top of the big cylinder, you got a tier 2 chest. You might think this is incredibly inbalanced, however, I call it weeding out the weak, if everyone goes for Cornucopia, I expect the teams to be weakened tremendously, as members and whole teams will be wiped out, a smart team would leave the spawn instantly, and go to the surrounding area.
Dying is different in the Asterik Games, when you die, you get two choices, you can leave and suffer the 10 points deduction for dying, or you can respawn, losing 20 points in the process however being able to respawn after a 5 minute period, however when you die, your gear cannot be collected by members of your team, and will despawn after 30 seconds.
Every team will get a chest of their own in their hut or cage, it includes the same loot, but every chest has one difference.
Each Team Chest includes:
4x Raw Food
1x Flint and Steel
1x Compass
1x Watch
1x RANDOM ITEM (can be anything from food, to a diamond)
The Inner Section (SECTION #01):
This is the smallest area, and it forms the circle inside and around the spawn area and Asterisk Corn. Inside this section, there will be very little chests, and the terrain would be generally flat.. however, this dwarfs in comparison to..
The Middle Section (SECTION #02):
This is the second smallest area, it forms a large circle around the inner section and has a small amount of chests, now the true difference between this section and Section #01 is that, monsters will spawn at night and in dark areas, however, do not fret, there are structures around the place to take shelter when night falls, but not too many shelters are around. There is a campfire in every building that will help create light. This area is also very dense in terms of trees, aswell as having a lot of hills.
The Outer Section (SECTION #03):
This section is the largest, it forms a huge circle around the middle section, and has a large amount of chests, aswell as a small amount of Tier 2 chests. Monsters also spawn in this area at night, at a greater frequency too, the area is hugely dense, and is mountainous.
The objective of this team is to hunt and kill the other players, however the score system is different on where you kill the player:
Kill a player in the Outer Section: 15 points.
Kill a player in the Middle Section: 10 points.
Kill a player in the Inner Section: 5 points.
Now if you think that you can return to the Inner Section and not be killed as players would be discouraged, think again, once you enter the Outer Section, your bounty will be 15 regardless of whether you return or not. Also there are points for killing mobs aswell, for every 20 mobs you kill, you get 2 points. This doesn't apply to animals.
So any thoughts, suggestions, feedback, etc?
