On the forums I notice a lot of new members constantly asking where to find a certain section, or I see them posting something in the wrong thread as well as making some other small mistakes.

I know it's quite a boring suggestion but it should stop some of those messages always asking where to find threads, moderators having to waste their time moving threads to different sections and generally help out newer members. I suggest just a small starter Email for each player as they sign up for the forums giving them useful links to the correct sections and generally things that they might need help with.

Links and useful forum tips this starter message should contain:

-Report abuse section.
-Where to dispute a ban.
-Where to apply to be a mod.
-Where to post if they need support.
-Where to find the rules.
-How to create a Report Abuse
-How to record, upload, and report a video, as well as how to collect effective and useful evidence.
-How to post a Ban Dispute, how long it usually takes, and why you should be patient.
-Basic Forum Rules such as Necro-Posting, Multi-posting, and where different threads go in the forums.

-Various tips and things about donating, such as which rank does what (In-depth), which goes the furthest, how long it takes to appear in game and on forums.
-How to apply for Moderator, how not to apply for Moderator from the point of view of the applicant as well as how the staff judge the applications.
-How to deal with a spambot, changing the title of your thread, getting your thread locked.
-Basic In Game tips such as using the compass, clock, different minigames, the /server command, /records and /stats etc.
-Links to helpful community guides.

Please leave a message suggesting anything else you think could be added to the list and if you think this should be implemented.

Also, I thought I'd just mention that there is a group of staff, led by the admin Col_StaR (From what I know) who are working on something like this. I'm not sure if it'll be an email, but it will be a guide of sorts/PSA (Public service announcement)
I actually took that list from the one that I wrote when I was asked to give suggestions/ideas for it.

The question will be whether or not new members actually read that introduction message.

While majority may not, the others that DO read it will have the knowledge on how do do the things posted. Also, another cool thing could be added to this, a link to community guides and a special link to very helpful ones etc.
