Clicking fast

Does clicking fast make you hit the enemy faster or slower? Do you want your hand to swing more when your fighting someone? Because when you click fast, your hand doesn't swing as much as you do when you don't click super fast. Which way is better? Clicking fast, or not?

It helps to an extent.

Minecraft has a cap on how fast you can click, basically. Lets say you click Blamph fast. Minecraft won't register most of those hits.

You can only click so fast and Minecraft registers it. Yes, in most situations clicking fast does help.

You can also get kicked or whatever on some servers if you click too fast, like Fax, he's insane.

I can get about 6-7 clicks per second:
Of those clicks, it's not like I get 6-7 hits on someone per second. This would obviously make it very easy for fast clickers to obliterate others in game. Being a fast clicker is pretty essential in this game, but you can only click so fast before Minecraft comes to a certain point where it won't register every click as a hit.

This is a very common misconception that most people are wrong about. Clicking super fast is NOT effectively the best way to hit someone fast. There is a certain sweet spot for how fast you can click.

Perhaps later I can make a quick video demonstrating this.

So, clicking as fast as you can is not the best way to hit someone really fast.
Clicking at a certain rate which is still fairly fast but not "fast fast" allows for more hits.

My recommendation: Whenever I play, believe it or not, I usually don't click that fast. I usually try to click only when I am certain I am going to get a hit.
