Right now PVP is click to win. It's really boring. Sethbling made a really simple plugin that took him around a few days to make. A FEW DAYS OF YOUR TIME CAN MAKE PVP THAT MUCH BETTER.


I'm sorry for not making a huge essay about this idea. Last time I did that, no one cared.

Pvp is not just click to win you have to get accurate with the sword learn how to counter other players moves learn to use the now flint and steel and rod all successfully
What do you mean, "be more accurate?" In most close quarter engagements your opponent is a good 1/4 of your screen, and any click anywhere on the body is a hit. What do you mean "counter other peoples moves?" What moves could you possibly peform against an opponent? Strafe around him? Block..? There's no written moves you can do, it's just click and pray.

Flint and steel has nothing to do with my suggestion, just PVP in general.

Actually PvP is a lot more in-depth then that video shows. PvP in MCSG uses many items, not only swords. For example: Fishing rod, bow, FnS, and Golden Apples. There's a lot more strategy then just running up and left clicking...

The grammar in this post was atrocious, but the argument is sound. You also forgot to mention the bow. A fully charged bow shot is the equivalent of a diamond sword hit. That can make the difference between life and death. A bow makes fishing rods look tame.

Au contraire mon petit chou fleur! Flint-n'-steel has everything to do with your problems. Secondary weapons do indeed play a huge role in the outcome of almost every fight! Also, no matter how much of a whiz Seth is with command blocks and redstone, I don't think the MCGamer developers would appreciate adding/replacing their own heavily self-modified plugin with someone else's when he hasn't even offered to let them use it.

Perhaps you can make your own server through Cubedhost and try this PVP plugin out firsthand with choice friends! Maybe you'll be the owner of the next Roxbot or Zincbox! :)

You didn't read it right. I said "Flint and Steel has nothing to do with my suggestion." Because the plugin changes the way PvP works with Swords. I want something that changes the way swords work. I don't care about flint and steel, fishing rods, and bows, because that's a whole nother ball game.

This feature suggestion would put a lot more emphasis on block-hitting. However, right now many MCSG players use a form of "Block-hitting" that relies heavily on split-second blocks, not long blocks. Thus, this would be much less effective at higher levels of combat.

No no no no no no... If you click and pray, like most people start out, you are most likely never going to learn to PvP. I, personally apply many tactics, such as block hitting, strafing, walking backwards and forwards, making sudden runs, pretending to set fire, using the fishing rod, confusin my opponent with the fishing rod... Etc.

Flint and steel, fishing rods, bows, swords, chest routes, tactics... They are all part of PvP, so "PvP in general" includes them. Just sword combat would be boring.

If it's starting to frustrate you, then how would you feel in our position? 9001 people have told you that swords don't need to be more "fun" (the video shows a worse version), due to the fact that there are other weapons that you need to combine with your sword.
