Betting system and sponsoring?

I think that there should be a betting system in place where you put in a bet, you can change who you think is going to win up until there are half of the tributes remaining, then your bet is locked in. You are betting with your points (The ones you win from winning and getting kills) Also, you can sponsor someone, you can use some of your points to send someone items in game to help them win. If you have bet on someone, giving them something to win can make them win and make you more money.

Betting System sounds plain out dumb. No point in it. Points wouldn't be as much as an achievement to have.

Being able to sponsor someone make's it easy to cheat.

No, sponsoring would cost a bunch of points and there would be a high minimum bet.
