Better point system! Ranking instead of points?

What do you think about the current point system?
Is it fair?
Sometimes you will lose 50 points when you are killed!
Also its very irritating if people are leaving before you killed them!
This should be fixed! You can fix it by hard coding in plugins but also by doing a new system!
Instead of points why not ranks? It should fix really much bugs and it will stop leaving at matches.
You can get exp for winning, killing, chest finding, hitting someone, killing mobs and much more!
When you earned a certain ammount of exp you will get a rankup!
You will start at rank 0 and slowly get a higher and higher rank.

A ranking system like this would be nice but I think the current point system should stay, it shows off the players who play well consistently which I think is quite good (minus the bugs). Nice idea though, maybe it could be added as another statistic rather than taking away the current point system?
Btw, 589,091,215,637 xp is a little bit high

I like this idea. But I don't think it should be put instead of the point system we have right now, like RyanMills said.
Maybe this could be a person thing, like in /records. It could say "Rank: 12" or somethign like that. It could also be a leaderboard stat. But the point system should stay how it is. Chad is working on a fix for the 50 point loss bug, so all will be good once the plugin is out of beta. The points will reset then, so it really won't matter as long as it's fixed.

By the way, preview your thread before posting it. I have no idea what that table says, it's very confusing. I'm sure I could get it, but I don't want to waste my time doing it
