Are GPN's allowed? I want to use a program called "WTFast" http://wtfast.com/
What it does is, it changed your IP (Idk why) but somehow it improves your ping by ALOT,
Some people told me it's not allowed...
The only bad part about this "GPN" is that it changes like your whole PC's ip so on TS is makes my IP to a random country.

Thanks!
BTW, for those who do not know what a GPN is it's a Gamers Private Network
NOT A VPN!!

I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed as it is just like a proxy. We will have to see what others say however.

If you wish to see which modifications are allowed in the MCGamer network, I would recommend re-reading the rules page, since they also state what is allowed and what isn't. The rules page is here:
http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/mcsg-updated-rules-version-3-0.12254/
It is rule 2 of in-game rules.

If you believe that there are any modifications or something to enhance your gaming experience in general, feel free to contact a staff member about it.
Have a nice day! c:

This doesn't increase your ping at all, it only chances your IP. It might be helpfull for certain website, but it won't increase your ping in-game at all.

When I tested it, it decreased my ping from 85ms to 70ms.

And by the way a "GPN" isn't really a thing; it's simply a faster VPN...

If this increases your ping you don't have your internet settings on it's optimal settings. It simply gives you another IP, which makes the game think you live in a certain area, thus giving you a different traceroute to the server.

And It's indeed a VPN.

This DOES improve your ping; by using the best & fastest route.
My question is if it is allowed, I'm not asking if it is good or bad.

Thanks!

This would most likely be allowed as it does not modify the game (to a cheating extent) it would only (perhaps) increase your ping to the server. It is not considered a cheat and could be used.

However, if this would be used for ban evading purposes, then, it wouldn't be. As long as it is being used for legitimate purposes, you should be fine.
