Another use for points

So I thought it would be a cool if we could use points for other things.
What if we could have pets that follow you around in the hub or lobby that cost a certain amount of points.
What if we could have armour for the hub, dyed leather, enchanted, and plain.
I think that these would be cool because it would be something to save your points for and not just waiting them on bounties/sponsoring.
Tell me what you think.

Sounds cool, normally I just bounty all my points or sponsor them so people don't target me for them. But this would intrigue me to actually get points and buy stuff in the hub. Unfortunately, this would most likely make even more people punch you to death/target you for your points because they think the stuff in the hub would actually matter.
