A Question about side buttons on your mouse

Hello,
Nathan or SergeantHacks here,
and i have this little question about the side buttons on your mouse.
So, is it allowed to use the side button on your mouse as: A button for sprint or changing the slot to the slot were you can find your Flint and Steel? (It doesn't click when you change the slot to the fns slot)
I have the Razer Deathadded as my mouse. (it has 2 sidebuttons)

Are sidebuttons the same thing as macros?

The use of side buttons is allowed. Side buttons are pretty much macros —without the need of the Minecraft Mod.

You're allowed to assign a single action/button press to a single key.
For example, I have a Razer Naga, which has buttons 1-12 on it. I can assign one button to F5 to go into Third Person, but I'm not allowed to assign a button that would click F5 twice. I can set a key to 3 for my fishing rod, but I can't set a key that is going to switch to fishing rod, cast it, then switch back to sword instantly <-- that's not allowed.

I do not own a mouse with side buttons myself, but Im pretty sure you are allowed to use them.
