Hey guys. I was going to bed last night when I had this awesome idea. What if one day over a weekend, MCSG held a live stream, hosted by Chad. During this live stream he can do a raffle drawing. He can choose a random name, and whoever gets chosen gets to spend a day with a mod. He can learn what they go through, how they act during situations, and also how hard it truly is. Some other ideas can be instead of a raffle they do an auction, and that would be a lot of fun. Also, instead of just a mod, they can also do, a day with a SR mod, or even a day with the owner. I'm sure this would raise a small amount of profits benefiting the servers, and it would be a great community activity. Comment below your opinions!

Seems like a pretty cool idea.. You would have to get loads of people to watch though, or it wouldn't really be worth it :p

Interesting idea, but time conflicts would be a huge issue.
I know, maybe they can host one US for the US players and mods and one EU one for the players and mods???? That might be better???

That would be cool. Although there isn't much to do being a mod you just play games, ban plays on the admin cp and delete double posts.

Well, perhaps multiple Moderators could volunteer their time in doing this, so there's no single Moderator that is tasked with this.

Edit: Also, perhaps it could go like 5 hours with different Moderators, 1 hour with a Sr. Moderator, and 30 minutes with an Administrator? Well, basically a longer amount of time the lower the rank is, so that Sr. Mods and Admins do get a chance to participate, but not for too long.
Edit: Also, keep in mind that staff members do have stuff to do, like banning people, and they can't spend all of their time babysitting a random person.

Big problem: the job-shadow would be subjected to a lot of information that non-staff members really shouldn't have access to. This would include knowing ban information or worse if we do Sr. Staff members and above.

I do like the idea of job shadows with staff members to help give people a glimpse of what we do. But I don't think that an uncensored version would be the safest for the staff nor the players involved.

I also like the auctions idea. We just need to find something that's worthy of being auctioned. Also, shipping and handling fees.

For the auction, perhaps collect a small fee for every time that someone bids, like 5 cents or something. Then, you can use that go to towards the shipping and handling fees. (Or you could give Iron Donor to anyone who agrees to pay for the shipping and handling, or even gold if it costs too much. :p)

We could sell moderators and send them via post? However i probably wouldn't fit in the box.

I don't think the bidding-fee option is very honest, nor very legal. Auctions are traditionally held as a, "pay and win, or nothing at all" scheme. If anything, I'd think that shipping and handling fees would have to be paid by the winner; if the winner can't pay the total fee, then we'll go with the next winner.

We had an issue with that one. Now we know we have to poke holes in the box first.
