4 Bars, "/ping" ?

Hello people I've a question. I used to get 70 ping but now I get 90-100 because my internet isn't that good. But why 90-100 ping causes 4 bars? Why not 5 bars? Because of the "/ping" plugin? When we do "/ping" it isn't shows the correct ping. When I do "/ping" with 90 ping it says 140-150.

The way Minecraft gets its ping makes it terribly inaccurate. I suggest using a Command Prompt or the equivalent on a Mac and use the "ping <ip>" command. That is the accurate way of finding your Ping.

/ping it should be a little more than 2/3 of that. For me I get around 120-40 it will always say 170-210
