Adding "friends" in game

Hey guys, I think it would be cool if you could add someone as a friend in-game. How it would work is you would send a request (/friend [playername]) and they would have to accept/decline it (/friend [accept/deny] [playername]). If they accepted it, their name would have a star next to it or something to know that they are your friend. Also, you could do /friend list to see if you have any friends online. If a friend logs in to mcsg, you would get notified in-game. I know this might get annoying for some famous people (like youtubers), so you could disable it by doing /friend [on/off]. I think this friend system would allow everyone to interact with their friends and the community more

This seems like a really neat idea. It'd also need a friend-removing command, though. Something like /friend remove [playername] .
If it were possible, it'd also be a good idea to add 'tab auto-complete' functionality for any commands directed to those who are already friends - for example, doing /friend remove *tab* would allow you to cycle through the list of all your friends, instead of everyone in the hub/lobby.

Also, you could connect to the same hub as them and find which actual server they're in using the friendslist. Also, they could be visible when you have people off in the hub.
I support, but this idea has come up so many times before and I'm not sure why it hasn't even been commented on yet by any staff >.<

I think this is a great idea! Although I have mixed feelings about this getting accpeted into the community or not. But if this is accepted I WILL BE SOOOO HAPPY!

Don't tag developers/owner(s ) unless it's absolutely necessary, it's apparently distracting from their hard work to improve the servers

Contrary to popular belief, we do actually look at this forum; we just don't have time to respond to every single feature suggestion.

Regarding the friend system - it's something we've already been thinking of for a while, so needless to say, it's already on the list.
