Auto-shifting using sticky keys.

So, I was playing a game one Holiday Resort the other day and my parents had to get me to carry some stuff downstairs. Me being me since I was stacked and didn't want to be found while AFK and killed, I decided to turn on sticky keys and press shift so I could stay hidden in the back of the map until I came back. When I died in deathmatch and went to spectator mode, people kept calling me a BSMer (which I DO NOT use) for using the auto-shift feature. So, after I did that it made me realize that it might have been illegal to do so. Now I am just making this thread to see if it is illegal just for future reference. Also, just to clarify, it stays shifted until ANYTHING elso on your keyboard is pressed or you open another window, so you cannot check Skype or anything with it or empty your inventory with is auto-shifted.

You can do it by hitting shift 5 times if you're using Windows.

IMO, it's just as cheaty as Mac users using Caps Lock sprint

Its not something default by Minecraft is it? I'm still unsure. I have done it, but on my mac by setting my caps lock to my sneak... On my case it shouldn't be against the rules as its something default.

I would assume it isnt against the rules. It doesnt involve any use of downloaded clients and is a basic windows feature. When i go downstairs i put my ipod on the shift key xD

It's the same as putting a weight on your shift key so that you can stay sneaking.

the only problem with sticky keys is that you can't go into a different program while using sticky keys
