Someone should make a list of mods that should be banned, then stop people getting into the servers that are using them. I don't know if that is possible, but it would be great if you guys could look into it. I still do not think that having people record is nearly enough to stop hackers as there are still hackers playing which ruins the fun for those playing by the rules and never getting the chance to win. As well as it filling up the space on peoples computers if they choose to record directly for that purpose and making it more of a job than a game. I hope you do look into this as I think it would make the game better for those who deserve it for playing fairly

There is a mcsg community member, LastReach, that has posted that she is currently making a mod for the mod/admins, that will catch Nodus users so as longs they havent uninstalled it 4 hours previous to playing. From what i understand Nodus is a big culprit for a majority of the hacks.

Ikr, this however wont catch people using things other than nodus, sadly. This is because it basically uses nodus against itself.

Nope a hacker = someone who writes computer language. A cheater is someone who doesnt folow the gamerules. Hackers got a bad name becaus some people do bad things with it. If you are coding you are a hacker. Not all hackers are bad. Most hackers are good.

Yeh thats a bit of a bummer, thats why I'd like to have something that doesn't let people on if they are using any mods at all but I would really need optifine enabled to play because otherwise my game is far to laggy and I just cant do anything and neither can my friends!

And Bart I don't think it really matters what we call them as long as we all understand what we are talking about! So arguing about it is a little bit irrelivant!

Yes i know that is what a hacker really is, but in this community hacker is slang for cheater. Just like how the word gay originally meant to be happy, but through the excessive use of the slang definition of homosexual, it is now a newly recognized definition of the word gay. Slang just mean in is simplest form, that you give an already existing word an inaccurate but socially acceptable definition. Therefore, hacker is slang for cheater in this social group.

@ sidera: The thing is it would be a difficult task to code and recode a plugin that can detect specific mods, and then prevent users with them from logging into the server.
