1 year, 2 months and 15 days is how long I was a staff member at MCGamer. It might've been the best year of my life, looking forward to something I love to come home to every day from school. It felt so... satisfying to know I was vacuuming the evil out of a community.

As fun as it was, it was stressful on me too, physically and emotionally. Since I became a staff member I've gained weight, and lost my good posture by doing nothing but sitting at the computer all day. I started eating a lot more too. This is just recipe for disaster. Adding onto this, ever since the summer I got staff at MCGamer I've been doing a lot worse in school. I'm capable but I didn't put in all the effort I could've since I had to devote so much time to MCGamer. (At least in my mind I did.)

I did manage to burn off the weight I've gained in the past year, although it took a very long time, and a lot of inactivity within the staff team.

Ever since the beginning of September I've been inactive, putting myself on a 2 week trial I decided to evaluate how well I can do at school if I didn't go on the TeamSpeak, forums or in game. It worked, even though it's just the first month of school I can see great improvements on keeping up with my work, being able to take notes, and studying.

Today my teacher approached me and said "You did really well on the reading comprehension, one of the top students."

It was at that moment I decided it was time to resign.

The feeling of having a teacher come up to me and say you did well, was beyond any satisfaction a ban, or win could ever get me. It's been a really long time since I've felt like that. It made me want to do it more, but I knew if I was staff here that would be impossible, so I resigned.

I want anyone who reads this to know, if you apply for staff at MCGamer, you probably won't gain weight, or be bad in school. Often the Sr. Staff are supportive of you taking breaks for school and remind you school comes first. If you feel you're fit for the position, I want you to apply, help out as much as you can. If you feel you're not right for the job, I want you to pat yourself on the back, for acknowledging that yourself. It's something I've failed to do for the past few months.

Honestly, if you apply there's quite a few things that will happen. I'll quickly list them off one by one.

  • You'll meet the most amazing group of people, the most welcoming individuals I've ever seen.
  • You'll learn that even people online have emotions.
  • You'll be able to assess situations in real life faster.
  • You'll probably get a job faster, knowing the way the interview and application at MCGamer work, and also being able to put MCGamer as volunteer work on a resume. This will increase your chances at getting a paid job.
That's just a few of the things that will happen if you know you're the right person to get the job.

These have been the most awesome, most entertaining 38.1 million seconds of my life. To the people wondering, I will most likely come back, but not any time soon.

I love you all thanks for this amazing time!
