Why is the Tekkit server down?

I have just noticed the tekkit server is now down. Just heads up and please tell me why.

You should do some research on the forums first instead of doing it the easy way.

There's a search bar at the top, just under ''Maps by Vareide''.
If you search your question, or some things from your topic, you should be able to find it.
