Why Can't You Download Social Media Apps On The Computer?

So I always wanted to know why Social Media apps like Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat can't be actually downloaded on your computer. Like it would work perfectly for a app like that to be on the computer, we just need a webcam to use it than it would be cool. Everyone's laptop should have a built in webcam on the back and front?

1. It would be faster to upload pictures but it wouldn't work for on the go so that's what a phone would work for then.

2. You could just message your friends on their and contact them WAY faster than before!

3. The apps on the computer would look amazing just open it up and whenever you want to leave or check on another thing Alt + Tab out of it and open another social media app.

This method is a lot simpler and I hope they can add a social media computer app for this because they don't have it!

Actually, I have those social media apps on my computer. All you need to have is Windows 8, and baam, you can download the app off of the Windows store!

While this seems like a cool idea, they would probably take a lot of your computer's space, especially if you download a ton of them. Besides, there isn't anything wrong with how it currently is so why should we need to change it?
If we're too lazy to open up a browser and type a link in then I think we need to rethink our lives.

You can make a shortcut on your desktop which instantly open up the website? I don't really see the use for an app, as you can just acces it on your browser

Im pretty sure instagram is a website just like the phone version, I have never used it online but I'm assuming it is alike

Its not even a big download and you can't actually take pictures from your instagram on the browser
