What is so bad about mini map?

Entities =/= hitbox. You can't see the hitbox through walls, can you?

You cannot see hitboxes through walls. I just tested.

If zooming is an advantage, then so is having a bigger monitor

If having a better computer is an advantage, then everybody has to use the same PC.

Minimaps allow you to see buildings, whether from the top or not, you will be given an advantage that other players don't have. It's still way easier to find your way around with waypoints or not.
