The title says it all! What instrument do you play?
As of now, I am teaching myself to play the harmonica.

It really all depends on the approach. When I first started I was taking lessons with a music instructor I couldn't stand. All we did was read sheet music. I have a new teacher now who's willing to do whatever I ask. He's so open, and that's what you're going to want to look for.
Just a question, did you play Acoustic or Electric? I used to play acoustic, but once I started playing my strat I didn't stop. It's big time fun if you start to get down some basic lick techniques.

My dad and stepdad taught me and I played mostly acoustic. My dad taught himself when he was a kid and my stepdad is originally a bass player

I play the keyboard. No, not like the piano keyboard, like the computer keyboard. I have no artistic talent, aside from acting, so I choose to do more math oriented activities.
