What happened to crafting?

I was playing is SG4 and i got 4 iron ingots. So, i went to a crafting table and tried to craft but as soon as it had the little sword icon and i would click to drag it, all the ingots would just act like i closed the crafting table. soo any help?

no, i mean that it doesnt work i tried it in MCTheWalls and it didn't work either i think its cause of the new update
