Same problem is actually happening to me. Do you know if it's a problem with your computer or internet? Is everyone in your household experiencing the issue?

I'd say the best thing to do is to call your ISP. That's what I've done and it's a step in the right direction.

Hello,
I have been having the same issue, on my bars it currently suggests that my ping is 49. I join the servers and it's 400-200, ridiculous I know xD, maybe it's an issue with the servers if it is happening to more people.

I suggest,
1- Entering your start menu, writing cmd, clicking on it and writing "ping {insert region au-us-ca ect}.mcgamer.net it will run through the command taking 10-20 seconds, it will tell you the, minimum maximum and average. This is more exact than what the MCGamer /ping and even minecraft bars (don't know proper definition) I think... xD
2- Calling your ISP, they'll check what your lines look like and most likely/hopefully will fix your issues/problems
3- Hope for the best, wait it out, maybe it's a short circuit, xD.

I am hoping this is an informative post that helps you past your problems, :).

when your internet is doing bad, test ethernet from your modem so you know if your router is causing the problem. If its your router, buy a new one, if its your modem, call your ISP
