Unable to sprint

So I just updated minecraft to the new version and updated my optifine to the HD UB or whatever its called.
I can no longer sprint... Or at least I am no longer able to see the sprint animation...
I am also having way more lag, to an unplayable point, since I updated.
Anyone else have a similar problem?
Anyone know how I can fix this?

I'd say that's a bug on optifine's side. Try minecraft without optifine.

Now it says the mcsg servers are out of date (1.3)?

The servers are still on 1.3.2, we aren't on 1.4.2 yet. That's why you got the error "out of date".
