Hey there i know this might not be the best place to post this but basically
Hi I'm Colby and I'm 15, I have train in amuter wrestling since I was 5, 2 nights a week and football 2 other nights. I won my first match when I was 6 in wrestling which was great. Than I went on to hold 4 state titles and 1 national title, and 0 losses since I was 7. I had done this all by the age of 12. I than quit football and went to mma for 5 times a week I also gave up wrestling which hurt a bit but I got over. any way I did the usual stuff. Boxing, Kickboxing and other things, I than went to bjj and did that. I was good because of my wrestling background. my coach than put me into my first state match at Newcastle (Australia) which was a 4hr drive away. anyway I got up at 4 do my thing and got there by 10 (we got lost). I was very verynervous and im not going to lie it was the most nervous i had ever been. I was use to wrestling comps even nationals but they only had really 150 people and i knew 90% of them.so at state bjj I knew no one. I went out to fight it was going good rolling well then he got a choke on me so i picked him up off the ground thenslammed him. I was so happy I thought i won in wrestling if the kid was on his back crying you won, to bad I didn't know you can't slam so I ended up getting dq. I it was very disappointing to me that's my first loss in over 5 years and it was by a dq. I kept on training then nationals came around which is also because it only comes to our state 1 time every 7 years. I went up to nationals a lot more confidence then I was at state, I won my first match by submission when I was only a white belt and everyone else were yellow or higher. my 2nd match I was really looking forward to it. I ended up getting beat on points,so at my 2nd comp at nationals I ended up scoring a sliver so I was very happy with that. later that year one of our fighters alex the hulk volkanovski won his 5th pro fight at AFC (Aus Biggest Fighting Promotion) he then went to Thailand to try out for a 12 month training course and he won it. By that time the next bjj comp came around and I was up against the world champion in my age and weight. I would like to say I went well but I got my a** handed to me. I went 3.30 out of a 4min round so that was good but all I did was defend I ended up getting 3rd because of how the brackets were. that loss made me train harder than I ever had 6 times a week 2hr sessions then researching after training. this went on for a few months then state came back around i was up a weight class because I was only 52.5 but no one was in my weight so I went up to 56.5. my brother vs the guy who we were going to fight he got taped out in 1 min. then it was me vs the guy something just felt right after all my handwork I felt very confided in myself. i got an early take down then I got his back then I got another take down and won 6-0 on points (he was higher belt to) it was awesome I won my first gold. after that my coach offered me a job to help teach little kids mma and bjj, I have done this all by the age of 15.

Im also still chasing my dream,im only young but with enough hard work and dedication i might one day just end up completing my dream. now i dont want this to be an ego post so why i posted this is to prove if you want something, and you work and work for it you might just get there. so if you dont start living your dream, you will end up working to make someone elses dream.
Thanks Colby

Thank you for this. Many may say your trying to boast but I see what you're trying to say. These accomplishments are amazing and outstanding and involved effort a lot of people wouldn't be willing to put in.
Congratulations also though!! :)
