Tactic no. 1: Strafing
When you're strafing there are two rules.

• Don't blockhit while strafing. It slows you down a lot and you won't get a good strafe.

Tactic no. 2: Fishing rod tactic
This tactic allows you to get a small knockback on your opponent and it will be easier to hit them. They won't be able to get as many hits as you will. This tactic is very good to know how to use if you want to compete with the better players. It takes a lot of practice to become good with the fishing rod.

Tactic no. 3: Flint and steel
The power of the flint and steel is very good to use if you're being chased. If you manage to light your opponent on fire they will lose sprint and take damage constantly. The MCSG Flint and steel has a low durability, so don't place more than one fire per time (if not desperately needed).

Edit: Sorry, jumping while strafing increases the damage and it makes you a lot harder to kill.

good strats but it's a good idea to jump when strafing because that gives you more crits

Crits are important people underestimate crits but remember they aren't that hard to land when you are getting rodded and strafed your pretty much flying mid air so you get crits and win
