TeamSpeak Radio Channel - Community Opinion
Hey guys, as some of you might still know, MCGamer tested a Radio Channel on the MCGamer Teamspeak (ts.mcgamer.net) not too long ago. However due to some technical issues (I believe) it was taken down again.
In my opinion this Radio Channel was really successful and appreciated by a lot of community members, who came on the Teamspeak just to listen to some Music.
Compared to the TeamSpeaks of other Servers, the MCGamer one is often pretty empty - unfortunately!
At the time, when this Radio Channel was a thing, it appeared that there were a lot more people on the TeamSpeak than usual. On the TeamSpeak of another big Server I even saw 2 Radio Channels with a total of 300 people in there.
>> That shows that those Radio Channels are actually very appreciated.

Pros of a Radio Channel on the MCGamer Teamspeak:
- I think people like to do 2 things while playing: They rather talk to their friends / teammates or listen to music.
- I personally liked the music, which was played, as there were good songs I never heard before, so discovering new cool songs would be another plus.
- With a Radio Channel on the MCGamer Teamspeak people wouldn't need to start Spotify anymore, but just hop on 1 TeamSpeak and then they can decide what they actually want to do ( > MCGamer TeamSpeak as the one platform for both activities (Music Player & Communication device) at once!).
- Another plus side of the radio Channel is, that sometimes people just want to be on the TeamSpeak to be available when they get poked. If they don't want to talk, they only have 2 possibilities: They can sit in the Entrance Hall and be annoyed my the "User joined your Channel"-spam, or they could sit in the AFK-channel, with the risk not to be poked because people think they are actually afk. With the Radio Channel they have a channel to sit in, without being considered as afk and not bothered with joining & leaving messages, but enjoying good music.
>> Results:
Increase of the popularity of the MCGamer TeamSpeak. > More people being online. > People getting to know eachother. > Better community? > Increase of the people playing on the Servers?
>> More friendly + bigger community?
What makes this platform (TeamSpeak) important?
Teamspeak is something like the heart of the community, as it makes it possible to come in touch with other players and staff members live, therefore it is important to keep it up and even expand it.
Why do I actually make a thread about it?
Well in my opinion that Radio channel was a great success and should return. Even if it might need effort to be put in, as it seems not to be easy, I think it would be worth it, due to the above stated arguments.
