Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has knowledge on how to create a free 24/7 TeamSpeak 3 server. I want to make a server for my clan but I am having trouble doing so. If you know of a very useful tutorial can you please link it. Thanks in advanced :)

You can host the TeamSpeak server on your own computer if you know how, I have done it before using a YouTube video.

However if you don't want to go through that trouble, you will have to unfortunately pay some dough.

Will it be open 24/7?

The server will be open as long as your computer is on. Essentially whenever you are on it will be on, I never used my server as much as I had liked so I never really looked deeper into if you could keep it open 24/7. Just as a warning, it can seriously suck up your computing power and maker your computer slower if you don't do it correctly and or don't have a very nice computer.

As Rhino said, it's possible to run an unlicensed TeamSpeak server on either your own computer or a server that you own (you will be restricted to 32 slots). However, please keep in mind that voice over IP (VoIP) services use considerable bandwidth, and if you have a monthly cap on your Internet transfer you may run into issues.

Other than that, TeamSpeak doesn't require a whole lot of resources. The server portion of TeamSpeak does not require much in terms of CPU or RAM, just a stable Internet connection.

If you can't host your own, you're unlikely to find a service that hosts them for free. If the server is licensed by an authorized TeamSpeak hosting provider (ATHP) they have to pay fees for the number of active slots on top of actually paying for hardware to run them on.

It would be the same thing as hosting a Minecraft server from your computer I'm pretty sure. It would take up memory on your computer most likely making you lag if your computer isn't all that great, and can only be turned on when you are there to run it.
