Survival Games Server-Software

Hey guys!

me and a couple of friends want to build our own Survival Games-Server, just for us to play together. (note: there are no kinds of monetary thoughts behind this little project!)

Unfortunately I'm currently only 'managing' a more-or-less vanilla Minecraft server. So i don't have much experience with the probably thousands of plugins that are necessary to build a server thats just working like the public servers here, on minecraftsurvivalgames.com / mcsg.in: Lobby, Voting, Maps (i've already found a collection of maps here) and everything else.

So my question is: Is there a bundled package that i can use to deploy my own mcsg-alike Server, including all the plugins and maps, which is already configured to just work? Like just a copy of the servers directory here?

Or do I have to collect every piece of plugins etc to build it by my own? This which would likely too much hassle for me that i wouldn't even try that.

If there's no "official" package, maybe someone from this community has already build something like this and is willing to share it with me?

MCSG builds their own plugin. It's not available to the public.

You'd have to find a SG plugins on the bukket forums, and install them yourself.

There are available plugins like the survival games plugin we have here.

You will not find our unique plugin anywhere else although there are other versions
of the survival games plugins available for the public, I would recommend looking on
websites such as planetminecraft or bukkit to find a survival games plugin.

Yes sorry, MCSG does not provide plugins for public use, if you are looking for a survival games plugin similar to MCSG, I recommend you take this plugin, and customize it as much as possible, so that you can create something similar to MCSG. Maybe do a little note-taking as to what MCSG uses for chest items, and put in those id's to the chest config file. Also try you could possibly try your best at replicating the chat, through the chat config.

I also recommend that you seek into other plugins, to give it that more official feel, such as announcer.

Remember to not copy MCSG to the exact though.

Is this Survivial Games-Plugin https://github.com/Double0negative/Survival-Games the Plugin that you're at MCSG acutually using, just forked and changed it entirely, or did you add tons of other plugins ontop of the "orginal" Plugin to make this whole thingy work?

No, that's not the plugin we use; our plugin is built from the ground up, not even forked from another Survival Games plugin.

If you want to you can use command blocks. It woukd be difficult but overall I feel like using command blocks allows for better gameplay and item spawns.
