Hello there forum friends! Today something somewhat odd happened to me today, and it got me thinking about strange things in general, and what other odd things people have experienced. For example... I stayed home from school today with a nagging fever, sore throat, and all kinds of fun congestion. In fact, I still feel like a sack of poop, but I mustered up the energy to write this thread nevertheless. Alright, back on topic. I was sitting on the couch watching Netflix while trying my hardest to concentrate on writing a history paper (headaches don't help there) and the doorbell rang. It was odd, because it was like 10 A.M. on a Thursday morning. I dismissed it as maybe a UPS or FedEx mail deliverer, and went back to coughing and aching through this lovely Thursday. Then, around 2:30 there was another, similar knock on the door. But this one sounded more impatient. This time I wanted to know what was up. My living room is out of sight from the front door, but we have a surveillance system in our house that we installed two years ago after our garage was "raided" per se. So I slumped to the other side of the couch and pulled the surveillance screen tablet thingy toward me. Outside my door, just about the time that a normal school day ends for me, was what looked like a teenage girl with black hair. She was wearing a casual black dress/skirt thingy, had black hair, and on her back was a grey drawstring bag. In her hands was a clipboard, with a piece of paper on it. She stood at a respectful distance from my front door for about 30 seconds, and then slowly turned around and walked away. It was just strange. She seemed kind of confused, so I went up to the front door to watch her walk down the street from the window. She stopped to look at her clipboard again once she was off of my driveway, and then just walked down the street.
Keep in mind that I am pretty sick, but it still didn't make sense. My sickness cause me to over-think things, and while she was standing outside, I felt scared for some reason (lolwat). She was probably just a salesperson, maybe a girl scout, or a middle school kid involved in the fundraisers our middle schools hosted, but it just seemed weird to me at the time.
What were some odd things that have happened to you recently?
