Strange cocoa bean?! ID 127:12

I was playing a little bit with WorldEdit in 1.3.1 and found this strange "bean" with damage value 12.
It has the same texture as dragon egg and drops 3 cocoa beans. WTF is it?

um... 1.3.1 glitch? Looked it up on Minecraft Wiki, no such thing as what you described...
My guess would be a texture error for the cocoa plant, since they came out in 1.3.1.
Other than that, WTF??????

I use faithful textur pack and heres a pic of a normal cocoa bean near the strang cocoa bean.

i played with enorix when he discovered this "bean". And i don't understand why should mojang add something like this? what's it used for???
