Spawn Bug

So every time I go to the corn in the very beginning, I pick up a few items as usual. The problem is once I try to use these items, they disappear from my inventory. This started happening when sg switched to 1.3. I tried switching my jar file but to no avail so far. Please help.

The items disappear from the inventory and back into the chest you got them from, it's extremely obnoxious.
