Servers outdated

I am trying to go onto the servers and its saying 1.6.2 is no longer the servers.

What am I suppose to do.

I know that, I changed it to 1.6.4 and it still didn't work so I put it back to 1.6.2 and it works again. What happened?

Minecraft updated today. It takes time to get the server infrastructure up to date, so you will have to stay at 1.6.2 for a little while in order to keep playing. We had a warning message going yesterday for the purpose of informing as many people about this as possible. Hopefully, thanks to that message, we won't have too many people in the dark about it. Thanks to the way minecraft now handles upgrading and downgrading, it shouldn't be too difficult to go back to 1.6.2 if you upgraded by mistake.
