See what server the player is on not working?

I tried doing my friend, he was on a mcsg server and it didn't work, I tried doing BajanCanadian to see if it was only my friend, it still didn't work, I tried myself. It's just cause I wanna join BajanCanadian in a match and I guess I cant if it doesn't work.
