Hello, my name is Chris. I'm an active forumer here at MCSG, and I have a problem. Recently, I ordered a Microphone from Amazon, and I plugged it into my iMac. It's a universal headset, so it should work. I've talked with people with it, so I guess you could say it works perfectly. The reason I bought a new Mic, is because my Turtle Beach p11 has finally blown out, and no longer works for recording videos (Doesn't capture voice). I ordered this new one in spite of hopes of making my recordings work. I ran a test recording, and it says no Mic detected. Yet, my new mic works for everything besides recording. I've updated my drivers, and tried a lot of other things. I really want to record, as it's the only reason I got a new one. Here's some info on my Mic, and my Computer. I own Screenflow, and it's full version. I went to System Preferences to check if the Mic is linked to my Computer, and here's what came up.

It should appear my brand new Microphone, as ZADES(insert random stuff here) Gaming Mic. However, when I record, it captures my voice from my Internal mic, which is what I don't want. I want it to capture my voice coming from my mic.

I also tried going to Screenflow> New File/Recording,,> clicked on record audio from, and here's what pops up as the options.

It'd be really appreciated if you could help me out here, I want to continue my YouTube channel, as it's becoming quite well. :D

I am moving this to General Support since that is the appropriate section for it to be in.

As far as your issue goes, sorry I'm not used to using a Mac and don't know what this can be caused by. But I'm sure others do! :)
