Respect

Honestly, many random clans out there don't know what respect is and then it starts about 10 pages of flames that Ceroria has to clean up.

So what causes disrespect in the clan community?
1. Trash-Talk / Treatment

Well for starters its when you and your clan start acting like female dogs. Sure in the clan community we all start as rivals, but think of it like this: You and your friends are playing a one-on-one in a competitive sport such as basketball. Then say you beat your friend 10-2. Then if you start bragging, he'll feel worse by losing because you trash-talked him. But say if he gets salty and starts spewing out curse words at you. Won't you think he's sore loser? Within those two scenarios, respect has been lost.

Bottom line: Just don't try to taunt the other team during the clan battle or trash-talk them.

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” - Golden Rule.

2. Being a sore-loser.

Honestly being a sore-loser will end up ruining everything. Say those two guys in example #1 are playing for real, and as you saw you beat your friend 10-2. Well that will be going on his or her record whether he or she likes it or not. But to acknowledge if they lost is a completely different story. If they lost, and aren't salty about it, they'd say something like: "Great game! Let's rematch sometime!" or "Dang that shot though!" The you guys would both move on happily; he would be proud and you would train harder to improve. See how they both gained respect for one another?

Bottom line: If you do end up losing just post your loss; every good clan loses. Don't be a female dog and say, "There are no rules on posting losses!" <--- Those 7 words made me lose IQ.

"No one likes a sore loser." - Society.

3. Being a DQ-lots-type [idk what to call this]

Continuing on from that basketball example... So say during the game, your friend calls Double-Dribble even though you didn't. This will start up an argument. Keep in mind that this a 1v1 streetball game. So you have the chill personality, and you let it slide, but then he keeps on doing it and you start getting mad. Then there's probably gonna be a flame war until someone shows proof of the other person being wrong.

Bottom line: Don't DQ without proof, if you do have proof and think it is a DQ, talk with a clan mod to get it approved. This is more of a tip on how to run a CB more smoothly.

"Proof or it didn't happen."- MCSG.

Just don't make these mistakes.

You couldn't be more spot on. Thank you for writing this and clearing up some things for the clan scene. Too often do I see miscommunication or confusion turn into arguments and flame that us moderators have to deal with, that could be easily prevented if everyone kept a cooler head and communicated better.

I see your point, but calling other members out for randies is not respectful either.
