Hi everyone
This thread is pretty self explanatory. How to report lag. Before you complain about in game lag on the forums, staff's walls, or anywhere else; please read this guide. Let's begin!
When lag is experienced, the first step is to identify which type of lag you are experiencing. Is it fps lag, server lag, or something else?
FPS Lag
FPS (Or frames per second) is the speed at which your computer displays your game. Usually, if your fps is above 30, then you shouldn't experience any lag. But, if your fps is below 30, gameplay may seem choppy, and slow. There are many causes of fps lag, but there are also a lot of solutions too. Since fps is usually a client side problem, please don't post in the forums complaining about this issue.

Server Lag
Server lag is when the game sort of "skips" around a bit and hit detection is poor. This is usually caused when either too little or to much information is being sent between the data-centers and your computer. There are many causes to this issue, including but not limited to poor internet connection , high server traffic, and playing in the wrong region.
Here are some tips to fix server lag:
- Restart your router. Sometimes when your internet is slow it may just need a fresh reboot.
- Close unnecessary internet "hoggers". Some programs and services such as Netflix are notorious for "clogging" your internet speed. I would recommend closing such services before playing.
- Make sure you're playing in the right region. If you live in the United States, play on the US servers; if you live in Europe play on the EU servers; etc. This will improve the connection speed to the servers.
- Use an Ethernet cable. A wired internet connection will always be faster than a wireless one.
- Upgrade your internet. If none of the following suggestions have worked, as a last resort I would look into upgrading your internet, for better up/down speeds.
If you're still experiencing lag, even after these tips, it is usually a problem with the servers. At this point it is still not necessary to make a thread.
For all of the latest updates on the servers, click here.
If the issue at hand has not been displayed on the News and Announcements tab, that is when you can make a bug report, by emailing [email protected]. Please remember to state the time, date, region, specific server, whether other players in the server were complaining of lag, and any other essential information. The more information, the more the developers can do to solve the issue.
Creating a thread stating "fix the lag now or else" isn't necessary and definitely does not help the developers fix the issue any quicker. That is the whole point of this thread, to reduce the amount of posts like the one previously mentioned.
NOTE: If there are any errors in this thread or you have any suggestions, feel free to post below. I respect constructive criticism, and actually appreciate it. As always, I hope I helped someone out there. Thanks for reading!
