Questions on Blocking

If I block a member, what happens if they try to PM me or comment on my profile? Also, can they quote my post and I won't see it?

Thanks for the help, I have a thorn on my side that I may want to ignore.

You can make your profile private and you can choose to "ignore" users. However as of now you cannot "Block" users. This is an idea that is currently being debated.

To ignore a user you simply visit their forums page and click the "ignore" button located to the right of the "follow/unfollow" option !

The ignore function should deactivate any notifications of the ignored user interacting with you in any way, and likely prevents all communication.
