Hello folks,
As indicated in a previous opinion thread, a lot of people were interested in Hacker Identification Training Sessions (HID Training), where players will be given instruction on what specific hacks look like, and how to identify each type of hack. This training is mandatory for new Moderators, and we feel like sharing this information would be beneficial for players to know as well.
Because of the interest in attending such a training session, and because of the recent batch of Moderators who have qualified to teach such a training session, we are opening the first of what we hope to be a regularly scheduled event. If all goes well, we hope to get at least one running per region per week.
How to Attend a Hacker Identification Training Session
Due to the nature of the training sessions, we will not be hosting drop-in basis; we do not want attendees casually moving in and out of the channel, which is distracting and counter-productive. As such, these HID Training Sessions will be hosted on an RSVP system.
Please follow the instructions below if you are non-staff member who is interested in attending a Hacker Identification Training Session.

Please follow the instructions below if you are non-staff member who is interested in attending a Hacker Identification Training Session.
- Post a comment in this thread, stating which of the training sessions you're interested in attending. Please be sure to include the Time, Date, and Instructor. We will use this to estimate how many students are expected to attend.
- Prior to your scheduled training session, please join the MCG TeamSpeak. We suggest being 10 minutes early.
- Once you are on the MCG TeamSpeak, please ensure that your TS username matches or includes your forum name. If it does not, be sure to mention your forum name in the message described in the next step.
- Please politely Poke or Message the instructor. The Instructor should be in the Training Room channel under the Miscellaneous Staff Channels section. The instructor should move you up to the training room.
- The training session should begin shortly after everyone is assembled and ready to begin.
[*]Attendees will be respectful and attentive of their peers and their staff instructor.
[*]Attendees will follow the instructions given to them by the instructor.
[*]Attendees will be voluntarily muted until they have a question or comment that is pertinent to the class.
[*]Attendees are expected to attend the entire training session, which is estimated to take 90 minutes. If they know ahead of time that they will not be able to attend the full session, then they should not have signed up for that session. If a user must leave due to unforseen circumstances, they should do so respectfully and without disrupting the training session.
[*]Attendees will be respectful of the evidence that is shown, and the players who are involved. The videos are for educational use only.
