Programs to record/render/compress videos

Hey guys!
I was just wondering what programs you would recommend to record, render and compress. (Can be several [programs) Or recording setups within fraps or etc

Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Performance
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 16gb
PSU: Corsair CS650M 80+ Gold Power supply
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 270X Gaming edition 4gb

I use Action! to record. Sony Vegas to edit/render (don't recommend if you're not willing to fork out the $600+ fee for it) and I don't worry about compressing.
