Hey I am a freshman taking a Introductory Programming class. I got interested in it awhile ago and I really want to make mobile apps when I get older. Would this be a good career field for because most mobile programmers also make around 90-millions (candy crush type people) and also in my class so far I understand how to do everything and its just really easy for me to learn it quickly especially making websites.

Errh you mean, a few mobile programmers right? 95% of the appstore doesn't get more then 100 downloads. Plus, most big money games are made by big company's ( so as a programmer you won't see much of the total profit ) there are only a few people who've made it big ( E.G. Flappy Bird ).

Personally I think it would be a great idea as a hobby. It's hard to start of with programming especially with selling apps and what not. I would say start small as a hobby and keep working at it! Maybe one day you would be able to make it a full time career! Good luck to you!

Whatever you enjoy would be a great career path! Computer Programming and Mobile App Designing sounds really fun and if you enjoy it why not do it! If you enjoy what you do in life you will live a lot happier.

Now for the income. The National Median Salary for a Mobile App Designer, in the US, is anywhere between $81,000USD-$99,000USD. Whereas other forms of computer programming average around $74,280 USD for employment within the US.

So long story short. Do whatever you like to do, and let money be the last priority.

Ok, first off, this is a forums. Yes, we are a Minecraft server, however, people not interested in Minecraft or our servers can browse around here. Plus, this is Off Topic Discussion, so any thread of any topic can be created here, as long as it is appropriate.

Moving on.

bbs22201 This is a great career field, anything is good as long as you do whatever you like! Yes, it is true that you can earn a large amount of money, however, this comes with patience and depends who you are working with.

Lets say you are working with KING (makers of Candy Crush). Obviously, you will make a large amount of money, as they are pretty successful, though you would need to be lucky to earn a spot with them, though nothing is impossible .

In time, you might join one of these companies, if you are pretty skilled in what you do.
