Did you guys know, Turkey banned minecraft because it is supposedly to violent? Well, I've read so, and I really hope that the minds of the people in charge take a turn and see what they are doing. In my opinion minecraft can cause quite a lot of rage, but when it comes to building, being creative, that's where our beloved game show's it's potential. So we see MCSG's maps and the amount of time and effort put in to them. I am grateful for the builders of our community and I hope they stay inspired and keep on the good work. :)

According to this source, Turkey has not banned Minecraft. They are contemplating banning Minecraft due to the violence (lol).

Please do not blab about stuff before it is researched with a minimal quick Google search, as spreading false information is how gossip starts.

Even though you must have not known, you need to know the facts before you say stuff.

But back to the point, I don't think Minecraft should be banned, as although you can kill mobs and such to survive, that isn't the only mode you need to play. One, you can play peaceful, and farm, without needing to kill anything, and Two, you can play creative. This doesn't even include downloadable maps and multi-player mini-games, all that don't have to be violent.

There isn't even blood, which is why it is probably rated E-10, with Fantasy Violence as the reason why.
