Points are basically the currency of the Survival Games. You can gain points by killing other players, winning the Survival Games, or receiving a bounty that has been placed on you. You may use points to sponsor other players in-game, to set a bounty on another player, or just to show off! Keep in mind that the more points you have, the more of a target you will become to other players.
If you kill a player, you will gain 5% of their current point total, however if you die, you will lose 5% of your current point total to your killer.
