Photoshop Alternatives?

Ok. So I am getting into this youtube banner making stuff. The only problem is, I don't have a good photo editing software like Photoshop. If you could, post some Photoshop alternatives for MAC down there!

Try Gimp! I have attempted to draw digital art before, and lets just leave it at that... Gimp is obviously not the best software out there, seeing as it is cost free. However, it's still an amazing software that I urge you to use.
