Ok, I'm about to order my new PC parts but I'm not sure If the're any good, let alone compatible with each other.
This is my Cart on PC Case Gear which has all of the parts that I thought were half decent to put in my new PC!

Please tell me what you think ;)

You might wana add in a Disk drive as you are ordering Windows 8.1 on a disk ;)
Also, the case is not really important, you can make that cheaper. I'm not sure if this site does it automatically, but did you check if the RAM is compatible with the motherboard?
Also, if you use Wi-Fi, you should add in a network card.

Make sure you don't get two mobo because that's what it has selected
Also I reckon get an aftermarket CPU cooler and and unlocked processor ( has a K at the end of name) so that you can squeeze a bit more out of it with over clocking.

If you have room in your budget I would suggest going with a 250gb Samsung EVO SSD since I bought the 120gb and in my opinion it's way to small.

That's just my opinion. If you think you're good with a 120gb go for the 120gb. :)

  • If you want to save a few bucks, downgrade to Win 7.
  • Swap out your Seagate Barracuda for a Western Digital Blue or Black. Better quality control and much greater reliability. I strongly suggest a WD Black series for its speeds; downgrade to 2Tb if necessary, it's worth it.
  • No mouse?
  • You could probably save some cash if you buy via Newegg.com with their promos and sales. You can find comparable items at discounted prices.

That, "good batch, bad batch" idea is true with all hardware. Hard Drives are especially vulnerable to bad batches since the rise of SSD's forced a lot of manufacturers to cut back on Quality Assurance in order to provide competitive prices.

That being said, I used to only do Seagates and I never had a problem (although that was before SSD's were a thing). However, Chad actually swears against Seagates, and has devoted himself solely to WD's. Backblaze did a good hard drive reliability test that compared the brands, and their data shows a significantly higher failure rate in Seagate drives after 3 years of usage. I am currently giving WD's a try, and so far no issues and awesome speeds.
