Out Of Memory?

I just bought Minecraft and I will be in the middle of a MCSG game and it will kick me out saying out of memory. I tried closing minecraft and redownlaoding it twice. I need help?!?! What do I need to do to stop this from happening?!?!

Putting your graphic settings too high can give you the error..it used to happen all the time for me

Just follow the tutorial step by step that Denster91 gave you. It doesn't matter if you don't get it (maybe it does) but try your best.

Char1949 try these simple steps,
1. Press escape
2. Click options
3. then click video settings
4. click render distance ONCE
5. beside render distance it should say Normal.
If it does, you should be less likely to crash.
