2 much blur and text is bland but dece
I was waiting for the too much blur comment xD, I'm currently looking at text. I'll try to make it less blurry, but the reason I do add blur is because when I make the renders, they have black lines around the whole character, so when I do that, it covers them up. I do agree that I went to overboard on the motion & radius blur.

Since the blur was expected, I would recommend making the avatar a little more clear, and that way you can try to find a way to make both text and avatar skin to blend in with one another to make a pretty interesting kind of artwork. :D

Text just kinda smacks you in the face.
Well, it doesn't have hands... So I find your statement invalid!

Thanks Miner :)

I also made another one, can you guys tell me if you like it more?

Use pictures of SG maps with shaders in the background instead of just red.

The amount of blur...

is too @#$% high!
Seriously, though. There's an incredible amount of blur, it actually makes it difficult to appreciate the avatar. Can you try one without the blur, and just see how it turns out? You don't have to use it, but just for reference so we can critique/give tips on how to improve it.

Also, the sun-rays that you use in the second one are incredibly over-used in all sorts of Minecraft "art", making me question your usage of it. If you do want to incorporate it, I recommend trying to set it as if it was coming out from behind the character, not his heart. Try it out, and see which you prefer.

I liked the text on the second one more, the first one reminds me of stereotypical high school lettering that you might find in High School Musical.

Still really blurry, can you just remove the blur in all? They look quite good.
I could, but when I render in Cinema 4D, it puts black lines all over the edges so it looks really shabby

What I'm rambling about:

I'm trying to learn how to do that.

Can you see all those black lines all over the place? The reason I use the blur is to cover those up...
