Hey Guys.

Some of you may remember me from a while back, I used to be an MCSG Moderator and was highly involved within the community or alternatively remember me as "KD181999." As of recently, I've been playing a lot of games, and have been really surprised by the amount of hackers that are still present within the community. Upon giving this issue some thought, I reckon that the staff and community of MCGamer should host another Operation Cleansweep. When Operation Cleansweep was first introduced a while back, the results were very positive, and the general gameplay of the community of ten times better. I hope y'all consider reintroducing Operation Cleansweep.

Thanks.

There are still EU ones, we had one through January to March! The anticheat definitely isn't great though, it's being worked on apparently so that's why there are so many hackers everywhere.

Oh, I didn't know they were still hosted! My bad I guess, haha.

The EU cleansweep ended a little while ago, but it will hopefully come back soon so don't worry. But a US Cleansweep is happening really soon so don't worry ;) But the Anti-Cheat isn't out yet, and it won't be completed ever since a lot of different clients/hacks are being created daily by people so it will be hard to code new ways to block it!

Um that worries me, the way you stated it. It won't ever be completed and the anti-cheat isn't out yet. Wouldn't it be more reasonable to at least put the anti-cheat out banning or at least detecting players who can walk on water, kill-aura, etc. rather than trying to aim for ghost clients as well?

I would really appreciate it if you forward this following message onto the dev, but I myself am a coder, and I've figured out my own anti-cheat.

What MCGamer can do for their anti-cheat is make it whenever it detects suspicious movement, or just normal movement, it spawns an invisible bot above the head. If the player is focusing on hitting someone else, not the bot but uses killaura and hits the bot, it'll detect hacks and it will ban the player for hacking.

Thankyou for reading this and using your time!

The thing is, not all hacked clients/shadow/ghost clients are targetting mcgamer. It's just the plugins that they're targetting. That's where if we use a specific anticheat plugin which has the source and code free for anyones use, of course hacked clients are going to get around our system and hack on MCGamer. But instead if we keep it quiet, and code any suspicious movement or what I said above this comment, it'll be likely to remove majority of hackers, not saying all of them. If you always need any idea's, just look at badlions anticheat, it's pretty good if you ask me!

I am sure Operation Cleansweep will return some.
I personally would love to host them, and I know Vigilo hosted a lot of EU ones, however he has been extremely busy recently.

I am sure they will be returning soon!

I am not saying the Anti-Cheat isn't going to be released but I am saying that no one can officially complete a Anti-Cheat. Like I said there are hack clients being made everyday, and I am pretty sure those people are good at coding those clients. So it will be hard to keep active on adding detection's on all of those.

One thing,

Trying to understand the anticheat and what goes on with it is like trying to read a sign from 50 miles away. With your eyes closed. And the sign is surrounded on all sides by a 30 foot cinderblock wall. And the wall has reflective panels. And those panels have laser beams that shoot at anyone trying to look at it-

Get my point? :kappa:

As mentioned above, the Cleansweeps still (for the most part) happen regularly and on schedule. Toward the end of the year last year there was a bit of a mix up after the head of the operation went AWOL, but everything has been back on track. The Cleansweep now has been operating seasonally in the regions it has been needed most (*cough cough EU*) c:

Man, you've been here for a while.

I'm fully willing to participate in most Operation Cleansweeps, however I'd like to focus on EU and US servers, (not only because they are the only current ones) they seem to be flooded with hackers currently.
