Not being able to talk in survvival matches

i dont know if their is a requirement to beable to talk in the matches, if there are let me know please because i would like to beabe to team up with other players but i cant do that without talking, thanks.
(or just let me know how to talk)

If you are new to MineCraft, you should go into your controls and look around, the default key for chat is T.
So if you press T, you can type and then press ENTER and then it will show your message to all in-game.
However, if you are a tribute in the games, then only in around 30 blocks (correct me if wrong) other tributes and spectators will see your chat, this is a (custom) plugin.
If you already knew how to chat in-game, then you might have the chat disabled, if you type ''/chat on'' then you will be able to chat with the people in your game.
