Newbie Needs Help!

So, when you're playing on a server, there is this bar at the bottom that shows some of the stuff in your inventory. How do you change which item you're holding from that lower bar, without having to go all the way into your inventory and move the items yourself? Thanks!

Use the little scrolly thing on your mouse, it switches the items on your hotbar.

This is called your hot bar, to cycle threw he items either use the scroll on your mouse or numbers 1-9 on your keyboard.
