New to this...help

Before I start I would just like to say that I'm new to this.

So I was thinking about making a MCSG map, but I have no idea how I would go about doing it. I know I would start in creative but I don't know how I would submit it or whatever, or test it. Can someone tell me the steps necessary for such a task? How would I test the map? How do I host a custom game? I'm on a Mac if that helps.

As far as I can say, get worldedit. You can use it to spawn in the sphere with the /hsphere command. I wouldn't recommend it to actual build your buildings completely, but you can use it to align up structures.
